Excellent Communication Throughout

Kodiak Construction operates under the premise that open and abundant communication is paramount to a successful project. The client’s most personal space, their home, is invaded by outsiders, disrupting routines and turning their lives upside down. We start by setting expectations during our first meeting, through the design process (if we are engaged before the design is complete) through construction, and a follow-up 6 weeks after the project is complete. Most homeowner anxiety stems from not understanding the process or what it’s going to cost. We provide a payment schedule, a project timeline (Gantt Chart), weekly email updates focusing on progress, upcoming work, and outstanding details awaiting decisions. We are firm believers that setting clear expectations, provide relevant updates and maintain open communication is the best approach to alleviate homeowner anxiety.

Flexibility

The staff at Kodiak Construction appreciate that the one constant through all projects is that there will be changes, triggered either by choice, discovery or outside influence. We operate on the premise of being solutions-oriented and presenting options and solutions as well as potential ramifications with the homeowner, so the most informed decision can be made.

“Colin, you are clearly a man of character, and stand behind your work. It has been a pleasure doing business with you, and I truly feel that anyone that has the opportunity to have you work on his home should consider himself fortunate.”

– Ben and Leila
